Every day a new thing
Our leg today was from San Jose to Los Angeles.
First immediate stop was the Winchester Mystery House.
Actually, first immediate stop wast trying to find coffee. Seriously WMH, you call your restaurant a coffee shop. Where's the freaking coffee!
I've always admired Sarah Winchester and never bought into the whole ghost thing. She was innovative, creative, loved new inventions and ideas - that, plus being wealthy, independent, and female probably pissed off everybody (except her workers, who were apparently devoted to her).

From there it was on to Casa de Fruita, who's delights Frankie had never sampled. Casa de Sweets, Casa de Wine and Deli, Casa de Choo Choo, Casa de Diesel...
We dined in the creatively named Casa de Restaurant, and plotted our next steps.
As we argued the merits of staying on 101 (Missions, Madonna Inn) vs. I-5 (three hours faster), we came to the realization that this trip offers us the unique opportunity to do something we've never done before every. single. day. New foods, new sights, new experiences. pretty damn exciting.
We opted for I-5, grueling yet efficient, and met up with Martha in Granada Hills.
She steered us to this great little Thai place, where I had my first for the day - blossoming tea. Beautiful, fragrant, and delicious.
Frankie got to see the Winchester Mystery House and Casa de Etc. as their firsts.
And tomorrow? Tell them Large Marge sent you.

We found this in the museum. A woodchuck target, a crow target, and .... a picture of a girl on a swing? Not sure what message they're trying to send there
There was also this fantastic sign at the shopping center (which sadly did not have coffee).
One Sign to Rule Them All
Casa de Capital Punishment

No family resemblance there
Dinner and a show
